Ogun State is otherwise known as the Gateway State. This is in recognition of its pioneering role in education, medicine, law and divinity, on one hand, and its strategic position as the link by road, rail, air and sea to the rest of the country, emerged in February, 1976, in a nation-wide State-creation exercise undertaken by the then Military Regime headed by the late General Murtala Muham- med. Its emergence followed the merger by decree of the Abeokuta and Ijebu provinces of the former Western State into a full-fledgeoState within the nineteen state structure of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Ondo State of Nigeria was one of the seven states created on 3rd February 1976 by the then Federal Military Government of Nigeria. It was carved out of the old Western State. The state covered the total area of the former Ondo Province, created in 1915 with Akure as the provincial headquarters. Ondo State took off formally on 1st April, 1976, consisting of the nine administrative divisions of the former Western State (Ministry of Information and Culture, 1979). These nine divisions then were Akoko, Akure, Ekiti Central, Ekiti North, Ekiti South, Ekiti West, Okitipupa, Ondo and Owo. Akure Township was retained as the state headquarters.

Osun State was created following series of pressure mounted on the federal military government over a long period of time by the founding fathers, most of whom are traditional rulers and community leaders. Col. Ajiborisa pioneered the new State between August 1991 and January 1992, when an election was conducted under the zero party system which was introduced by then Military President Ibrahim Babangida. The people of the State are mainly traders, artisans and farmers. Their other occupations include making of hand-woven textiles, tie and dye clothes, leather work, calabash carving and mat-weaving. Investment opportunities abound in the densely populated cities of the State, which is very compact.

Oyo State, popularly referred to as the “Pace Setter” is one of the constituent 36 States of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.  It came into existence with the break up of the old Western State of Nigeria during the State creation exercise on 3rd February, 1976. Brigadier, now Major-General David Medaiyese Jemibewon (rtd) was the first Military Governor of the State (1976-1978).  His successor, Colonel, now Major General Paul C. Tarfa, rtd (July 1978-Sept.1979) midwived the transition to civil rule which ushered in the Second Republic on October 1, 1979. Ibadan, the capital city, reputed to be the largest indigenous city in Africa, South of the Sahara, had been the centre of administration of the old Western Region since the days of the British colonial rule in Nigeria.

Plateau State Goverment Plateau State is the twelfth largest state of Nigeria, and is roughly located in the center of the country. Its capital is Jos. Plateau State is celebrated as "The Home of Peace and Tourism", an image that has been fractured in recent years by Muslim-Christian clashes in the state. Plateau State gets its name from the Jos Plateau. It has a population of around 3.5 million people. The state has over forty ethno-linguistic groups. Some of the indigenous tribes in the state are the Berom, Afizere, Amo, Anaguta, Aten, Bogghom, Buji, Challa, Chip, Fier, Gashish, Goemai, Irigwe, Jarawa, Jukun, Kofyar (comprising Doemak, Kwalla, and Mernyang), Miango, Montol, Mushere, Mupun, Mwaghavul, Naraguta, Ngas, Piapung, Pyem, Ron-Kulere, Bache, Talet, Tarok, Youm, etc.
