IBTC Chartered Bank Plc- IBTC was incorporated as a private limited liability company on 02 February 1989 and licensed on 03 February 1989 to carry on merchant banking business in Nigeria. In February 2001, the Bank was re-licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to operate as a universal bank. IBTC converted to a public limited liability company on 24 February 2005 and was listed on The Nigerian Stock Exchange on 25 April 2005. IBTC merged with Chartered Bank Plc and Regent Bank Plc in December 2005. IBTC has since changed its name from Investment Banking and Trust Company Plc to IBTC Chartered Bank Plc.
